In 1621, The Pilgrims celebrate Thanksgiving, as new colonists begin to arrive, many of these new colonists are Puritans ~ Religious dissidents from England
Their leader is John Winthrop
They have a charter for a colony from King James I
(Who is more than happy to be rid of them)
By 1630, over 1,000 Puritans live in Massachusetts Bay Colony
Many Indentured Servants (Black & White) Come to New England
The Pilgrims/Puritans live in peace with Wampanoags until 1664
Puritans begin filling in Massachusetts
Between 1630 ~ 1640 ~ 20,000 Puritans leave England for Massachusetts
